Tanya has been working in the field of early childhood education for the past 6 years, and has received both her AA degree in Early Childhood Education from Canada College (Redwood City), and her BA Degree in Early Childhood Adolescents, from San Francisco State University. She also has her Directors Permit and is CPR and First Aid certified. She began her career as an infant/toddler Teacher, where she fell in love with their laughter and smiles. She then moved to leading her own preschool classroom where she guided and taught 3 to 4 year olds. She taught them to write, recognize their letters and numbers, and built their self-help skills to gain confidence and independence. For 3 years she was a Lead Teacher of a 2 to 3 year old classroom, supervising two other staff members as well as 14 children.
Tanya believes that children should have a positive, welcoming, and educational environment to build their own thoughts and continue their development. She understands every child learns differently and wants to make preschool a great experience for them. She loves watching children solve puzzles, gain independence and use their imagination to help them grow and be who they are. She believes the children learn through their play, and she is just there to support and expand their thoughts.
